There are times when things could get a bit overhwhelming and I am going through that now. Sensing that, a friend sent me this for inspiration yesterday (and hope to inspire others as well):

You ARE Great.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frighten us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t save the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make a difference, to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.

Okay, I am a sucker for words and quotes! I finally bought this t-shirt that has absolutely nothing to shout about (except maybe for the ridiculously high price) but the words on it. Yes, I really dig Kurt Cobain’s quotes and this is a favorite of mine.

Here are some of his other quotes (that I like):

Drugs are a waste of time. They destroy your memory and your self-respect and everything that goes along with your self esteem.

I really haven’t had that exciting of a life. There are a lot of things I wish I would have done, instead of just sitting around and complaining about having a boring life. So I pretty much like to make it up. I’d rather tell a story about somebody else.

I started being really proud of the fact that I was gay even though I wasn’t.

I’m so happy because today I found my friends – they’re in my head.

I’m too busy acting like I’m not naive. I’ve seen it all, I was here first.

I’ve always had a problem with the average macho man – they’ve always been a threat to me.

If you die you’re completely happy and your soul somewhere lives on. I’m not afraid of dying. Total peace after death, becoming someone else is the best hope I’ve got.

The duty of youth is to challenge corruption.

The worst crime is faking it.

Thought the sun is gone, I have a light.

Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.

We have no right to express an opinion until we know all of the answers.

We’re so trendy we can’t even escape ourselves.
